On 22 May 2018 the World Traders, in association with Goodenough College will seek to break the record for Most Nationalities in a Simultaneous Popular Music Sing-along. The current record, established on 26 February 2016 by the London Business School stands at 72 nationalities.

Details of the location and time of this historic event:

Goodenough College
Mecklenburgh Square
London WC1N 2AB

Registration will take place from 5pm to 6pm, with the singing of three songs (please see below) commencing at approximately 6:30pm. A practice session will take place just prior to the official 6:30pm session, which will be recorded.

Three songs will be sung, “Imagine”, “I want to teach the world to sing”, and “Yes we have no bananas”, and in aggregate should take approximately 10-12 minutes. Lyrics will be made available before the event via social media, with hardcopy available at the event.

The sing-along will conclude with light refreshments courtesy of Goodenough College.

There will be two ways in which you can participate in this historic event. The first is to simply add your voice (and nationality) by singing. Our goal is to have 101+ nationalities represented. The more the merrier!

The second is to sponsor one of those singing. We are asking that each sponsor donate £101 to charity – 101 is of course the World Traders’ precedence as a livery company. Proceeds from this event will be split between the our Charitable Trust, which uses its funds helping mostly young people to develop the skills they need to engage with the outside world, and Goodenough College which also supports educational initiatives. We value your support and thank you in advance for your consideration. This event is organised by World Trader Michael Larsen.

Whether just to sing please register HERE, or to make a £101 charitable donation go HERE (or do register for both!)
