Inter-Livery Tennis at Queen's

John Farthing and Jaqui Brabazon and Robert Seifert and Elvira Olbrich made up two teams (kindly sponsored by Cheviot and Kingston Smith) of World Trader mixed pairs who took part in an inter-livery tennis tournament at Queen's Club on 17th September.
Unfortunately, neither team made it through the qualifier to the main draw. However the remaining 10 teams had another draw for the "Plate" and I am delighted to report that Robert and Elvira made it to the final where after a very hard fought match they just lost to the Vintners.
The teams were then joined by 6 guests for a great dinner at the Club and all the players confirmed that they intend to compete again next year - supporters would be very welcome.
