2010 SEASON
The 2010 is well under way. More people than ever before have represented The World Traders in at least one event. The Spring Meeting had 35 participants, by far our biggest ever event and in the Prince Arthur Cup, the main inter Livery Golf Competition, we had our best ever result, see below.
The WCWT Golf Society welcomes players of all standards so if you are interested in playing, or being involved in the Golf Society in some way please make sure I am aware of this. See my details noted below. The best way if you want to play would be to let me know then attend our Autumn meeting at Hampstead on the 8th of October.

Recent Results
Prince Arthur Cup. Walton Heath 20th May
The World Trader team had its best result ever coming 4th out of 54 in a competition that has been played since the 1920's. The event consists of 2 pairs from each Livery Company team who play 2 rounds each of foursomes Bogey (against the course). On a day of records, (The Spectacle Makers won with a record combined score of +10 and a pair of Painter Stainers equalled with +7 the individual Round Record) the World Trader pairing of Col McLaughlin and the Captain equalled the record for a pair for the day with +10. Our overall score of +5 would have been good enough to have been at least Runners Up in each of the 4 years we have played in the competition.
Marketors Day Verulam July 5th
Captained by Vice Captain John Rodford, the World Trader team of 4 was John, ex Master Peter Wildblood, Michael Daniel and Bob Hancock. We came a highly creditable 7th out of 21. Bob Hancock was our star scoring 35 stableford points off 3/4 handicap.
Painter Stainer Days
We have played in 2 days organised by the Painter Stainers, at Puttenham in April and at Sunningdale Ladies on the 30th June. They have been hailed as a great success and we will be continuing with them next year.
